Competitive Teams
Team Central Rock Fort Meyers
Team Central Rock is Georgia’s premier youth climbing program and is consistently recognized among the top climbing teams in the nation. Since its founding in 2010, the team has won every Regional and Divisional Championship and has earned at least one podium banner — 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place — at the Youth National Championships every year since 2016.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Claudiu Vidulescu, who has also served as Head Coach for both the U.S. Youth and Adult National Climbing Teams, the program has built an exceptional record of athlete development. Formerly known as the Stone Summit Climbing Team and now Team Central Rock, the team has produced numerous Youth National Champions, Youth International Champions — including World Champions — Collegiate National Champions, Elite Adult U.S. National Team members, Elite Adult National Champions, Elite International Champions, IFSC World Cup winners, and the first-ever U.S. Olympian in Speed Climbing.
That same high-caliber program is now coming to the newest Central Rock Gym in Fort Meyers. With some of the best coaches and route setters in the industry working together, Team Central Rock Fort Myers is positioned to develop the next generation of climbing champions in the Southeast.
